Dr. Joel S. Dover became pastor of Central Baptist Church in December 2006. He is a graduate of Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary, Lynchburg, VA, where he earned the M.A.R. and M.Div. degrees. His undergraduate work was completed at the University of North Carolina @ Wilmington, where he earned a B.A. in Theater and Communication Studies. Joel has been active in church work since 2000 and has church planting and youth ministry experience. Joel is a D.Min graduate from Luther Rice Seminary in Lithonia, GA. Joel and his wife, Kimberly, have a daughter, Megan, and a son Jake. His hobbies include, performing musician, hunting, fishing, boating, gardening, woodworking, classic car restoration, theological research, and reading.

Frank Meadows, Jr., Minister of Evangelism

Frank Meadows Jr., Minister of Evangelism at Central Baptist Church heads our jail ministry program and our nursing home ministries. He also has responsibility for our Food Pantry and visitation. Frank and his wife, Shirley enjoys singing in the church choir and playing the tambourine.

Daniel Farmer, Minister of Youth

Daniel became Minister of Youth at Central Baptist Church in September of 2007.
He is currently attending Central Bible Institute, CBC campus.
Daniel and his wife Amy have a one year old daughter, Madison.
His hobbies include hunting, fishing, being with family and friends, playing the drums,
Georgia football, NASCAR and movies.

Vicky C. Morris-Director-Children’s Ministries
Vicky Morris serves as director of Children’s Ministries at Central Baptist Church. She is a graduate of Brenau University, Gainesville, GA, where she earned a B.S. degree in Human Resource Management and a Master of Business Administration degree. She has been active in church work at Central since 1982 and has served in Sunday School and Children’s Church Ministries the entire time. Vicky has two sons, Brian (wife-Jennifer) and Wesley (wife-Christy). Her hobbies include, spending time with family, home improvement projects, gardening, and travel.

Bill Johnson, Treasurer

Bill Johnson has been Church Treasure for Central Baptist Church for many years. Bill is an avid golfer and also enjoys his job as a school bus driver in Clarke County.
Bill and his wife Barbara have four grown children and several grandchildren

Pat Gunter is our Church Secretary. She will try to help you anyway she can or try to direct you to someone who can. Pat and her husband live in Madison County. Her hobbies include gardening, reading and their grandchildren.

Daniel joined the staff at Central Baptist Church in May of 2007. He has had twelve years of formal and private study on piano encompassing a variety of styles and genres. He also studies voice under the instruction of Dr. Sandy Callaway. Daniel also coordinates the Central Baptist Hand bell Ensemble. He has performed with various community ensembles in the Athens area such as the Athens Symphony Chorus, Masters Chorale and the Madison County Community Band.
His hobbies include, attending live concerts, arranging and composing music.
